According to data released from Realtytrac.com, a foreclosure search website, there were 2710 foreclosure filings in North Carolina in November, down 34% from last year. This continues a downward trend, which I am happy to see. That means 1 in every 1571 homes had a foreclosure notice filed.
Mecklenburg County (Charlotte) has the largest amount of foreclosures with 622. Wake County (Raleigh area) was 2nd and Guilford County ranked 3rd with 297.
This great news, coupled with unemployment decreasing to 10% and home starts continuing to climb. Let’s hope the good news and the comfortable temperatures continue through the winter.
